Our business is to make money, and we believe strongly that working hard and making money, when combined with an absolute integrity, is a profound moral good.

But we are not merely making money: rather, we are living our vision of changing the world. It is our article of faith at Diseño Porteño that we must never sacrifice our own Integrity or our Respect for ourselves or anyone respectable. We believe that by doing business in deeply respectful ways that we will make ourselves wealthy and our clients wealthy--and that we will teach the world, by example and by looking at us, what great rewards come from acting with absolute integrity and respect. We want to inspire through our actions those who act less professionally--that is, treating people with less respect--to act better. Our vision of the world is one in which anyone can do business with anyone because everyone respects each other.

How do we translate such an abstract idea into a practical reality? Practical results (and not the intentions in our minds) are, after all, the only thing that matters. We do so in every decision we make, including the following:

• We do not accept jobs from all potential clients. We avoid problems by avoiding people who do not respect our working style and habits. This includes clients who try to haggle down our already very reasonable prices (because of our principle of respect, we always give our clients the lowest price possible, out of respect for them and their hard-earned money) and clients who do not respect our insistence on working in an iterative manner.
  
  
• We treat our Clients' money and time like our own, and take precious care of it. We keep our clients informed of all developments, good and bad (we strongly believe that no news is worse than bad news, since no news prevents delays you from finding a solution to the problem). We consult our client whenever we have a doubt on any issue. We give our clients the best price we can.
  
  
• We treat our employees the way we want them to treat us. Everyone who works closely with us has an equity stake in the company: we are our own owners. We respect everyone's domain, roles, and authority. We let them set the timelines and scope for their own projects, choosing the time and scope based on the needs of the project. We pay them as much as we can while balancing that with the need to create value for our clients. We discuss and consult everyone on matters that relate to them. We prioritize each project for each employee, so that everyone has the best sense of what is more and less urgent for them to be working on. We have pure transparency internally. Everyone has the right to turn down any project they don't feel comfortable doing (and if no one wants to do it, then we will not accept the project).
